POTA US-1176 Eagle Peak

Intro

Today I hiked to Eagle Peak for another amateur radio activation. On the North end of Eagle Peak is a good location to make radio contacts North of Mount Diablo.

Yagi Antenna

This was my first run with the Yagi antenna and it worked very well. Initially I was hand holding the antenna but placing it in a bush worked well too. Next time I plan to bring my tripod and pvc mounting hardware.

Great Fall weather for hiking Mount Diablo State Park.

My furthest contact NorthEast was to Pollock Pines, CA.

My furthest contact NorthWest was to Sebastopol, CA.
